What we ship by default

Every page, every feature, on every supported browser.

Full Keyboard Navigation

Every interactive element is reachable and operable using just a keyboard. Visible focus rings on all controls.

Screen Reader Support

Tested with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and announced state changes.

Captions & Transcripts

AI-generated captions and transcripts on every video course and live recording. Manual editing available for tutors.

High-Contrast Mode

Light + dark themes both meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios. Forced-color mode supported for Windows users.

Reduced Motion

Animations and parallax respect prefers-reduced-motion. Decorative motion is skippable.

Plain Language

We avoid jargon in core flows. Error messages explain what went wrong and how to fix it.

1. Our Commitment

EdEarn is committed to making our Platform accessible to everyone — including people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and other disabilities. We treat accessibility as a non-negotiable requirement. Every feature is designed and reviewed against WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards before it ships. Many features meet AAA standards. This is a continuous effort. If we miss something, we want to hear about it.

2. Standards We Follow

EdEarn aims to conform to: • WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) • Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act • EN 301 549 (European accessibility standard) • India's Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 — IT accessibility provisions Independent third-party audits are conducted annually. The most recent audit report is available on request from accessibility@edearn.com.

3. How We Build for Accessibility

• Semantic HTML5 elements for all structure (header, main, nav, article, section) • ARIA attributes only where native HTML can't express the role • Color is never the only signal — icons, text labels, and shapes back it up • All form fields have visible labels and clear error states • Skip-to-content links on every page • Color tokens audited for contrast against both light and dark themes • Component library (shadcn/ui) and design tokens enforce consistency • Automated axe-core checks on every PR • Manual screen-reader testing on critical flows: signup, course player, checkout, live class

4. Known Limitations

We're transparent about gaps: • Some legacy course videos lack captions — we're auto-generating retroactively (~85% complete) • The Flow Builder canvas has limited keyboard support; we're rebuilding the interaction layer in 2026 • PDF course materials uploaded by tutors aren't always tagged for screen readers — we're adding upload-time validation If you hit a barrier we haven't listed, please tell us. Reports help us prioritize.

5. Assistive Technologies We Test With

• Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android) • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — current and previous major versions • Magnification: ZoomText, browser zoom up to 400% • Voice control: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control (macOS/iOS) • Switch access: iOS / Android system switch If your assistive tech isn't on this list, we still want to support you — please share your setup.

6. Feedback & Help

Found something hard to use? Have a suggestion? • Email: accessibility@edearn.com • Response time: 2 business days for first reply, 14 days for resolution timeline • Critical access blockers (you can't sign up, log in, or take a course): we treat as P0 — hotfix or workaround within 48 hours When reporting, share (if possible): • What you were trying to do • What happened vs. what you expected • Your assistive tech and browser We don't require you to share these details to get help — but they speed up the fix.

7. Alternative Formats

If a page or document isn't accessible to you, contact accessibility@edearn.com and we will: • Provide the content in an alternative format (audio, large print, plain text) • Walk you through the task on a call or via screen share • Issue a refund if a paid course is materially inaccessible to you This service is free.

Hit a barrier? Tell us — we treat it as a bug.
